Joe Carlson is excited to announce the End-of-Year Dance for students on Friday, May 17th, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Your child and family are invited to join the fun and celebrate with their classmates! Students are not allowed to come by themselves; an adult must accompany them. A concession stand will be available to purchase food, snacks, and drinks (cash only).
We would be delighted if you and your child could join us for our end-of-the-year dance.

As a reminder, student pick up after school is at the north gates located on at the playground area of the school. Only students who are picked up by DUSD Transportation, Day Care, Caring Connections and Preschool will report to the front office breezeway. Students walking home through the front area of the school will be escorted to the crosswalk by staff on Louis Ave.
When picking up students from the playground gates, please make sure to be cautious and vigilant of students and parents who walk with their children. One of the priorities of Joe Carlson is everyone’s safety and well-being.

Today, Thursday, March 7th, is the last day of tutoring. The students will dismiss at regular times after Spring Break. The students and teachers have worked hard all year, and we appreciate your support of this important program.
Please remember that the four Wednesdays listed below will be regular school days, not early release days. Due to upcoming state testing, all elementary students will be dismissed at 2:30 PM on Wednesday:
• March 27th, April 3rd, April 10th, and April 17th
