In order NOT to be marked ABSENT during any period a student is on Distance Learning, the following criteria must be met:

Elementary Schools:

The student has to attend class via Google Meet and/or
Complete any assignments such as academic learning packets or projects, to be counted as PRESENT.
If a student is unable to attend class virtually, the parents/guardians must call the school and contact the teacher to excuse the absence for that day. The student will still be required to complete all assignments and submit it to their teacher. They will still be counted absent until the work has been completed and submitted.
An excused absence DOES NOT mean they were present, they are still absent, and must complete the work.

Middle Schools & High School:

The student must attend all scheduled Google Meet classes on a daily basis, to be marked as PRESENT.
The student must login at the scheduled start of class and must be visible for the entire duration of the class period.
If a student is unable to attend class virtually, the parents/guardians must call the school and contact the teacher to excuse the absence for that day. The student will still be required to complete all assignments and submit it to their teacher. They will still be counted absent until the work has been completed and submitted.
An excused absence DOES NOT mean they were present, they are still absent, and must complete the work.

Para NO ser considerado como AUSENTE durante cualquier período en el que un estudiante esté en aprendizaje a distancia (virtual), se deben cumplir los siguientes criterios:

Escuelas Primarias:

El alumno tiene que asistir a clase a través de Google Meet y/o
Completar cualquier tarea, como paquetes de aprendizaje académico o proyectos, para ser considerado PRESENTE.
Si un estudiante no puede asistir a clase virtualmente, los padres/tutores deben llamar a la escuela y comunicarse con el maestro para justificar la ausencia de ese día. El estudiante aún deberá completar todas las tareas y enviarlas a su maestro. Todavía se considerará ausente hasta que el trabajo haya sido completado y enviado.
Una ausencia justificada NO significa que estuvieron presentes, todavía están ausentes y deben completar el trabajo.

Escuelas Secundarias y Preparatoria:

El estudiante debe asistir a todas las clases programadas de Google Meet diariamente, para ser considerado PRESENTE.
El estudiante debe iniciar sesión a la hora de inicio programada de la clase y debe estar visible durante todo el período de clase.
Si un estudiante no puede asistir a clase virtualmente, los padres/tutores deben llamar a la escuela y comunicarse con el maestro para justificar la ausencia de ese día. El estudiante aún deberá completar todas las tareas y enviarlas a su maestro. Todavía se considerará ausente hasta que el trabajo haya sido completado y enviado.
